Blue-and-yellow macaws are highly social birds that usually live in pairs, family groups, or small flocks. They are intelligent and curious, spending much of their time flying through forest canopies, foraging for fruits, nuts, seeds, and palm fruits, and communicating through loud calls and body movements.
